Went well: (1) Nian story to explain the origin of firecrackers, (2) materials at Substrates.

Unable to complete tour for 11am group because children were very tired.

Students liked story telling (The tale of Nian). Show students Cai’s art making process by using Touring Aids stencil. Handed out materials and ask what materials are used to each art piece. Drawing what you want to show to alien.

2nd group did not have time for drawing.

Gunpowder Study for October Revolution – with scarves emulated exploding fireworks

Crossover point in Gallery 6 (substrates). Two groups meet there due to prescribed pathway. Substrate is an important concept in the exhibition so should be rethought.
